At last the music, the arrangements, and the songs can be heard. From a bit of history that re-awakened a whole nation causing many Black Americans to go in search of their ancestral roots; even to this day. The title song tells the story of Kunta Kinte.

Recorded at PS Studios in Chicago, Illinois: every song here deserves a listening.
One song in particular, a Motown Records exec wanted for the artist Syreeta; but Purvis Staples, of the Staple Singers, thought Ernie should record them all.

Included here (a bonus track) is an outstanding cover of the Bellamy Brothers "Let Your Love Flow" that Ernie recorded with the versatile Concentrated Sound Jazz/Rock Band
